We work with leaders to motivate and develop themselves and their teams to produce the maximum improvement in the most straightforward and cost effective way, including helping to improve tenure by up to 26% in one year and reducing related turnover costs.

Are you spending a lot of your time dealing with difficult people?
Do you want a better understanding of the different ways people react to situations, including yourself and your boss?
Are you worried about staff retention?
Can you see that some members of your team are less motivated than others?
Are your team focussing on problems rather than trying to find solutions, or not learning from their mistakes?
Are you being asked to deliver the same standards with less resources and a lower budget?

If you can relate to these concerns then keep reading, as these are precisely the problems I can help you solve.

Influential leadership and coaching is about effective communication skills that allow people to learn, think, create and to solve problems effectively and quickly, inspiring better performance. Being about to encourage team members to come up with their own ideas and solutions, allows many of the big challenges faced by organisations to begin to be resolved: the lack of employee engagement, development of new leaders and continuous innovation.

The success of an organisation depends on the performance of the people who work in it. The degree of success you achieve as a leader is likely to be measured by the results that are realized through the efforts of your team. Therefore, supportive leadership skills are needed to help people fulfil their potential, work at their best and continue to become more capable and skilled.

To develop effective leadership skills there are three distinct areas that should be considered.

YOU:  Initially, you need to have a greater awareness of yourself.  For example, how you interpret the world around you, how you are motivated, make decisions and cope with stress.

YOUR STYLE:  Then you need to establish an effective communication style with those similar and different to yourself, including motivating others, giving feedback and managing conflict.

YOUR TEAM:  Additionally, your leadership skills need to inspire better performance in your team, from utilising individuals’ skill sets and balancing a team who think in different ways, to effectively challenging new ways of thinking and ensuring a focus on solutions rather than problems

We provide a dedicated time out of the working environment to address these 3 leadership skills. Attendees will leave the coaching with the confidence to apply what they have learned and be inspired and motivated to put it into action in the real world.

To ensure the best results with the minimum of commitment, this Leadership Skills programme consists of four distinct parts. The programme can be standalone or tailored and is recommended as a minimum 2 day intensive programme providing full understanding of the requirements for ongoing practical application.

  • Workshop for attendees to identify their personality type, using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment tool (1.5 hours)
  • Understanding the different personality types in relation to your own (3 hours)
  • Effective Communication Skills Workshop (5 hours)
  • Leadership Skills Workshop (5 hours)
  • One area we excel in is getting delegates to commit to using and applying the ideas and techniques covered in the coaching. After the workshop, Assiem Ltd will also email monthly tasks (for 6 months) to Leaders to use as exercises in meetings.

The candidates will develop a greater understanding of themselves in the workplace and the others within their team, as well as some useful insights into effective communication skills and in appreciation of others’ ways of working and thinking. This can transform the way a leader works with their team and the results it attains.Using these principles, Karen has previous improved staff tenure by 26% and reduced the related turnover costs by c£450k in one year.

The programme addresses the fundamental and cost efficient leadership skills which organisations require to improve employee engagement and development, results on key business drivers and innovation for future success. The cost of the investment would be returned by just 3 hours of improved productivity per person attending.

Additionally, given a recent management survey highlighted managers are spending 18-26% of their time on conflict management; the workshop could quickly pay for itself by significantly reducing this percentage, giving you and your team managers back this valuable time to spend on more relevant activities.
